Description

Eagle Beach State Recreation Area sits north of Juneau along the Glacier Highway, offering guests expansive views of Lynn Canal, the Chilkat Mountains, and the Juneau Mountains. The park has 16 primitive sites in the forested section of the park, along with several walk-in camping sites, a large beach and river bars for excellent beach combing and fishing, and excellent wildlife viewing for whales, sea lions, and seal that frequent the ocean nearby.
