I was here in the middle of June 2025. There were hardly any mosquitoes due to the altitude. The view was gorgeous and no other campers were around. Saw some ducks, flying goose and caribous.

Primitive campground 2 miles from highway on gravel road. No trees but higher elevation provides cooler temps, more breeze, and fewer mosquitoes.
