This is the longest tunnel highway in North America. The tunnel allows a single lane of traffic to pass and is also shared with the railway. The tunnel is only open for 15 minutes each hour (during opening hours) for each direction.

Went to Whittier through this tunnel and it wasn't really worth it.. They trying hard to be a tourist place but there's nothing really going on..The only great thing is the portage pass trail.
