Description
The Gilahina Trestle is a wooden train trestle originally 890 feet long and 90 feet high, which required a half million board feet of timber, and was completed in eight days in January of 1911 as part of the Copper River Northwestern Railway to transport copper ore from Kennecott to Cordova.
It features a gravel pullout with vault toilets and a 1/2 mile trail that leads south from the restroom.

After the Rest Area, there is after the bridge on the left side when you drive to McCarthy a small street. Park here and walk some meters and you will have a nice view of the bridge from where she started.
