Description

Managed by the Bureau of Land Management, the Agua Fria National Monument is a unit in the bureau's National Landscape Conservation System. The monument houses over 450 distinct Native American structures, and different species of birds, reptiles, and amphibians have been recorded at the monument. Residents and tourists can enjoy a stellar view and photograph wildlife present in the area. As part of the conservation of the area, campers who would like to set up a tent in some of the undeveloped areas of Agua Fria are recommended to bring their own food and water, as well as bring back their garbage afterwards. Campers can also enjoy horseback riding, fishing, and limited hunting access at the monument.
