Description
An isolated free campground with a great view of the mountains, surrounded by Joshua trees. If you keep driving back, you might find greater spots. However, roads leading to those are not ideal for longer vehicles. Some sites already have existing fire pits. Cell reception is spotty and some carriers don't have a signal at all.
There are various trails you can hike from here, target shooting area and a good spot for a starry night sky.

Just right of the highway follow the gravel road up the mountain. First sites were full so we had to drive very far up. Road condition is not good and we were close to turn around with our 30ft RV. Got rewarded with a nice spot though.
