Description
Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge is a 117,464-acre refuge, housing several distinct groups of plants and animals that are interdependent. Visitors can enjoy the semi-desert grasslands, and several activities available in the area such as wildlife watching, hunting, fishing, and photography.
The refuge has 83 primitive campsites, and camping is only permitted at numbered sites designated by a triangle symbol. Campers can go wildlife watching on the various nature trails such as the Arivaca Cienega Trail with picnic tables, the Mustang Trail, and the Pronghorn Driving Loop. There are hunting opportunities at 90% of the refuge, as long as the hunter possesses a valid state hunting license ad applicable big game, archery tags and/or stamps.
