Description

Surrounded by Ponderosa pines, white and Douglas fir, Colcord Ridge Campground is a great place to go during the summer months, where trout fishing nearby is available and wildlife watching includes black bear, elk, mountain lion, javelina and deer. Because of its accessible area and flat land, Colcord Ridge is a great campsite for people first learning how to camp. There are 15 sites in the campground, providing picnic tables and fire pits. Although there's no drinking water available, vault toilets are present and serviced once a week - with one toilet equipped with grab bars.

Ugly place, dirty, when we 've been there, windy, because it's on a ridge.

Colcord is on a ridge and is ALWAYS windy. Of course, during the summer, the wind can feel good.
