Description

Take a trip to Gilbert Ray Campground which is only 13 miles from Tucson. It is a great jumping point to explore the nearby Saguaro National Park and Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Get convenient access to Tucson Mountain Park's extensive trail system, unique wildlife viewing opportunities, and interpretive programs as presented by Pima County environmental educators onsite. The campground features 130 campsites with individual 30amp electrical hookups, and five sites that are tent-only. Campers don't need to worry as there's water, picnic tables, modern restrooms, and an RV dumping station located within the campground.

10$ for car/tent 20 for RV. Clean bathroom. No showers. Camp right alongside cactus amd under desert stars. Came in may during off season. Picked whatever spot I wanted. Office closed during summer months

Unfortunately you can't choose the site you like any more but have to take the one they give you.

All the tent sites were full but we were allowed to put our tent on any site and still pay 10usd. Building with a sink for dishes and toilets. Clean
