Description
A boondocking site along Colorado River that is a few miles away from Cibola National Wildlife Refuge. There are 6 pull-through spaces available with a covered picnic table, fire ring, and a trash can. Vault toilet is located on the north side of the campground where the public beach is also located. If you prefer to not use the pull-through spots, you can definitely set up right next to the river.
Thick bushes will give you enough privacy from other campers. You can have fun swimming or kayaking in the river. But on winter, it could be too cold for swimming. Though some campers still give it a try. You can fill your water at a nearby store for $10.
Cibola National Wildlife refuge is a just a few miles drive away so you can check it out and be amazed with birds, deer, coyote, and a lot more. You can also visit Blythe Intaglios which are geoglyphs or arts in the ground made to be visible in the sky.
