Description
Below Horseshoe Reservoir is the Horseshoe Campground, which offers stunning vistas of the mountains. It also near the Verde River and provides many opportunities for water activities like river fishing and kayaking. There are 12 campsites complete with picnic tables, vault toilets, and fire rings. Enjoy seeing bald eagles that frequent the area, and stay in the shade with the large Mesquite trees.
It is important to note that trailers under 16' are prohibited from entry, and use of motorized watercraft by the flowing parts of the river is not allowed. With no garbage service onsite, class containers are strictly prohibited and trash must be packed in and packed out.
