Description

Surrounded by fine sand, Hot Well Dunes Recreation Area was a beach surrounding a lake approximately two million years ago. Today, it is one of the most unique recreation spots in Arizona and is managed by the Bureau of Land Management. Hot Well Dunes offers a great opportunity to ride 2,000 acres of sand dunes, set up a camp, and then soak in the relaxing hot springs - all in the same location. Due to the openness of the area, campers are reminded to be considerate of other campers at Hot Well Dunes. There are no trash bins, drinking water, and showers in the area, but there is a vault toilet onsite.

lots of pull offs, road wasn't bad when we were there and it was a pretty busy location. Plenty of flat locations for our tent.
