Description

Made up of 129,000 acres of a significant system of cultural and historical sites, the Ironwood Forest National Monument covers a 5,000-year period of sites and encompasses several desert mountain ranges including the Silver Bell, Waterman, and Sawtooth. As the monument is a known travel corridor for illegal immigrants traveling from Mexico, BLM reminds tourists to report all suspected illegal activities in the area and to avoid contact with persons exhibiting suspicious behavior or engaged in dangerous activities.

So easy, nice and quiet. No bathrooms or anything but to pitch a tent with my dog and have a nice night under the stars it was great. The ground has a lot of big stones baked into the floor so bring a good sleeping mat or be ready to look for a smoother spot!

Listen to what the other review said and don't take silver bell road. The camp ground has good cell service, beautiful place to camp. If you pull in a little more to the ground there are fire pits also.

Beautiful location in the middle of the saguaro cacti. Don't take the silverbell road the is a 6000 lbs limitation bridge. Take the w el tiro road instead.
