Description

Relax and indulge in a wondrous vacation at Kartchner Caverns State Park, where a nightly stay is complemented by cavern tours. All RV and tent sites at Kartchner offer 20, 30 or 50 amp electric hookups and water, and the camping fee includes use of the showers and restrooms and dump station facilities. There are also three handicap-accessible sites, 12 pull-through sites and 43 other sites of varying sizes, that feature paved access to the site and adjacent restrooms, a paved pad, and wheelchair-accessible table. For those looking to stay without RVs or tents, there are two-room camping cabins with a view of the Whetstone Mountains. Completely enjoy the state park through the cave tours offered and can be reserved online or through phone. There are four types of tours to choose from: the Rotunda/Throne Tour, a half-mile tour where visitors can see the discoverers' original trail, 45,000-year-old bat guano, delicate formations, and 'Kubla Khan,' the largest column formation in Arizona; the Big Room Tour where visitors can learn about cave fauna, both living and ancient; the Helmet & Headlamp Tour, a tour that lets tourists experience what discoverers did in 1974 using only the light provided by the headlamp on their helmets; and the Photo Tours.

Nice camp sites. Building with toilets, 2 showers, sink for the dishes and book exchange. Unfortunately there are no tent sites (you can put tent as there is dry grass and sometimes even sandy spots for tents) but you still have to pay 30usd.
