Description

Lockett Meadow is a primitive campground featuring a scenic view of the San Francisco Peaks and offers dry camping under cool aspen trees. Campers who love hiking wilderness trails can catch a glimpse of the natural residents, such as porcupine or elk, and even the black bear. There are 17 single unit first-come, first-served sites that include fire rings and picnic tables. Lockett Meadow also has several hiking and mountain biking trails nearby.

The drive is pretty bumpy, and off road tires is a must! Well worth the visit.
