Description

Los Burros Campground is a getaway off the beaten path, as it is accessed through a gravel road that runs through the White Mountain Apache Tribe land. The campground is simple yet stunning, and is perfect for those who like pine trees, ferns and a scattering of wildflowers and grasses. Los Burros features remnants of a ranger station built in the 1900s, with a tale of a fireguard who lived in the station and rode his horse to the fire lookout and gathered water from the Loss Burros Spring each day. The campground is free, and offers 10 sites and a vault toilet. Campers should take note that there are no garbage services or water source in the area.
