Description

Built by the CCC during the Depression Era, the historic Powell Springs Campground is shaded by tall ponderosa pines with many hiking and biking trails nearby. There are 11 designated campsites and a vault toilet onsite, but no drinking water available. Powell Springs also has 12 picnic tables, 2 fireplaces, 9 fire pits, and 11 pedestal grills. The campground is open year-round, and closes after heavy rain, snow storms, or when roads get too icy.
