Description
Settled close to Mount Graham is the beautiful Roper Lake State Park - home to a variety of bird species and offers great seasonal fishing opportunities. Its close proximity to one of Arizona's most beautiful 'Sky Island' mountain ranges makes it a great vacation destination. Roper Lake boasts three different campgrounds, all with great features that would fit its guests.
Hacienda Campground has 20 sites with water and electric (20 and 30amp) hookups, as well as fire rings and picnic tables. Most sites in Hacienda can fit vehicles of up to 45ft and are a mix of pull-through and back-in sites. Cottonwood Campground, on the other hand, has 25 sites with water and electric (20, 30, and 50amp) hookups, along with picnic tables, fire rings, and a mall shaded ramada. Offering back-in sites only, most sites can also accommodate vehicles of up to 45ft. The Gila Campground offers eight cabins, a 14-site group camp area, and five non-electric sites. Sites that are non-electric include fire rings and picnic tables.
If camping with own vehicles isn't an option, Roper Lake also offers eight cabins that line the lake and are furnished with bunk beds or full-size beds, electricity, and air-conditioning or heating.
Roper Lake has several picnic areas throughout the park, making it convenient to fish and swim. The areas provide a picnic table, a BBQ grill, and a shaded ramada. There is also a Park Store that carries flora and fauna guides, children's toys, fishing equipment and bait, and other park souvenirs.

Very similar to other Arizona State Parks. Nice sites close to the lake. Not much privacy between sites
