Description
Rose Canyon Campground provides 73 campsites, with half of them up for reservation and the other half on a first-come, first-served basis. There are three RV loops, and the campsites are spacious and surrounded by big ponderosa pines and clumps of Gambel oak. All campsites have picnic tables, grills, firepits and bear boxes.
Campers can explore the area and take the Rose Canyon Lake Trail #37, a one-mile trail leading around the lake that provides access to the lake. The trail is handicapped-accessible from a lower parking area to a floating dock near the dam. Near the parking is the campground store, which carries fishing and camping supplies, and grocery items such as ice and ice cream.
