This is the main CG. Water year round. All 4 CGs have total 41 sites. Only this one has water. Extremely nice, wooded, stream, 5,400 ft alt. Host at this CG. A top birding and astronomy place, gets crowded April and November. Rest of year has space, no reservations.

Village of Portal nearby. Chiracuhua mtn range. Wifi at library and visitor center, otherwise only Verizon coverage. Restaurant and store, nearest gas is 30 miles away. Nearest grocery 10 miles. Post office and wifi at library in Portal. Like Cloudcroft NM, a very cool hidden gem, worth the drive.
