Description

The lovely Ten-X Campground is located 2 miles south of Tusayan and 47 miles north of Williams on U.S. Highway 180/AZ Highway 64. The campground is only about 4 miles from the south entrance to Grand Canyon National Park. Located in a beautiful ponderosa pine/Gambel oak forest on the Tusayan Ranger District, Ten-X is a quiet, peaceful campground that generally has open camping sites. The campground has a short nature hike that allows visitors to view local flora and fauna. The Ten-X Nature Trail is an easy half-mile hike through tall ponderosa pine trees. Ten-X Campgound has 70 single-family, spacious campsites. These sites accommodate a maximum of 8 people. Single-family sites 1 - 13, 22 - 30 and 45 - 70 are non-reservable and are available only on a first-come, first-served basis. Single-family sites 14 - 21 and 31 - 44 are reservable. There are also two group sites, Group Site A accommodates up to 75 people. Group Site B accommodates up to 50 people. Groups larger than 75 people must reserve both Group Sites A and B. Generally open mid-May to late September for overnight camping, depending on weather. There are no utility hookups in the campground. There are no shower or laundry facilities in the campground. The 'pull-through' sites can accommodate up to a 35-foot RV or up to 3 automobiles. Most sites listed as 'parallel' or 'back-in' are only able to accommodate 2 automobiles or one small 5th Wheel or RV. There is a limit of 15 vehicles per group site, of which up to 2 can be RVs/campers/travel trailers. There is no limit on the number of tents.
