Description
Established in 1984, West Clear Creek Wilderness offers a wide range of opportunities for recreational activities and wildlife watching. Visitors should be mindful of the unavoidable stream crossings when traversing the West Clear Creek canyon. The longest and most used trail within the wilderness is the West Clear Creek Trail, which has four crossing that may flow rom knee-height to impassable depending on the weather and flooding.
The place allows for good fishing and wading in the secluded swimming holes by the canyon, and some trails lead up from the canyon mouth are used for picnicking, camping, and hiking.
