Description

Hermits Rest was built in 1914 by Mary Colter, one of Grand Canyon's most famous architects, and mimicked an old miner's cabin equipped with a giant fireplace and front porch. Today, it is a welcoming rest area for hikers, travelers, and history enthusiasts, as there's a great snack shop onsite, and visitors can take a seat by the enormous alcove stone fireplace.
