Description
Red Rock State Park is a 286-acre recreation area and environmental education center with stunning scenery. There are numerous trails throughout the park that wind through manzanita and juniper to reach the rich banks of Oak Creek. The Sedona Hiking Trails is a 5-mile trail network consisting of interconnecting loops which visitors along the lush greenery of Oak Creek and the famed red rocks of Sedona. Limited equestrian trails are also present onsite, and provide access to several Forest Service trails nearby.
The state park also offers a variety of programs for private and school groups, and houses a visitor center, an amphitheater, a classroom, a park store, ramadas and hiking trails.

Park Hours of Operation Monday - Thursday: All year & Friday - Sunday: Labor Day through 1st weekend of May 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Last entry at 4:30 p.m.Visitor Center 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

After going the Bell Rock, Courthouse Rock and other trails and vistas around Sedona this was a bit of a disappointment.
