Description

Shoshone Point has an unsigned dirt parking area which marks its trail - an easy one-mile walk along an old dirt road through a ponderosa forest and a pinyon-juniper woodland near the rim of the canyon. It is is the only area within the Grand Canyon National Park that can be reserved for private events and gatherings, such as a wedding, a birthday, a memorial service, or a family reunion. Although there is no water nor electricity, the parking area features a shaded pavilion, trash bins, a vault toilet, grills, and picnic tables.
