Description
Situated in the middle of Oak Creek Canyon, Slide Rock State Park is a popular recreation site with many visitors year-round. The park offers visitors short trails and a nature trail, with some being close to several Coconino National Forest hiking trails.
There's the Pendley Homestead Trail, a 0.25-mile paved trail suitable for visitors who would like to see apple orchards, tourist cabins, an apple packing barn, and the Pendley Homestead house along the way. The Slide Rock Route, on the other hand, is a 0.3-mile primitive route with access to the Slide Rock Swim Area - a popular area that features a natural water slide along Oak Crek.
The Clifftop Nature Trail is also a 0.25-mile trail which begins near the apple barn and features stunning views of the swim area.

Lovely place to swim, cool little rock slides and a ledge to jump from. The water is freezing!
