Description
Dubbed as Arizona's most peculiar roadside attraction, Bowlin's The Thing Museum piques drivers' attention with its yellow billboard advertising that makes them want to stop and see the Mystery of the Desert.
The attraction is enclosed in a temperature-friendly building, featuring a series of exhibits that follow two groups of space aliens battling for total control of Earth - depicting history from the Cretaceous Period to present day. The museum also features a Conspiracy Wall, which shows art linking aliens to every historic event, from the creation of the Stonehenge to JFK's assassination. All things - from dinosaurs to aliens - circle round and leads to The Thing.
So, what is The Thing? Tourists can come face to face with it at the museum. Yellow footprints lead to a shed, where inside people come face to face with The Thing. It resides in a coffin inside a glass-topped concrete block case. It is also looked after by a bizarre two-legged horse-like creature with a crown.
