Description

Start at the trailhead of the Bright Angel Trail, the most popular hiking trail into Grand Canyon, as it lets hikers walk in the footsteps of Native Americans, canyon miners and pioneers, and early tourists as they descend into the canyon's depths. Get panoramic views, morning and afternoon shade, rest houses, vault toilets, and drinking water during the summer, as the trail offers an excellent first trip into the canyon.

Amazing hike. Made it to the river and back in one day - 9.5 hours, including 1hr break at Indian campground and ~40 mins at the river. Completed in August albeit with monsoonal cloud shade in the afternoon. But definitely doable in a day.

Amazing hiking but very very difficult ! If you decide to go for a one day hike, you need to walk to Plateau Point. It's amazing but it's a 12miles track (8-10h walk) Walk to Colorado River at the bottom need 2 days and you have to pay for a campground

Steep trail which leads to Indian Garden. Grab a hiking brochure from the visitors center. Toilets can be found along the trail.
