Description

The Citadel and Nalakihu Trail This trail is a 4 mile (6.4 km) drive from the northern entrance off Highway 89, or a 10 mile (16 km) drive from the Visitor Center. It offers an intimate experience with an an ancestral site and expansive views of the surrounding San Francisco Peaks and volcanic field. The trail is accessible to the base of the cinder hill with a compacted decomposed granite surface.
