Description
The North Rim is often called the road less traveled since it only gets 10% of all Grand Canyon visitors. It has an elevation of 8,000 feet and has one lodge and one campground, which are usually booked a year in advance.
The North Rim appeals to people who want a more laid-back trip and are content with hiking, photography, and just admiring nature and its beauty. Full services are open from May 15 to October 15, while between November 1 to 30, it is open for day-use only. It is closed during winter months because of snow accumulation.
