Description

Pima Canyon Trail is a 16.3 kilometer heavily trafficked out and back trail, considered to be moderate in difficulty. Primarily used for hiking and horses, the trail features a riparian area on the floor of the canyon, which provides excellent birdwatching for a wide variety of resident and migratory species. Hikers can also encounter some javelina and jackrabbits, and the most prized desert bighorn sheep that maintain a surefooted existence here among rocky crags and rugged canyons.
