Description
Tawa Point is the second scenic viewpoint from the Painted Desert Visitor Center in Petrified Forest National Park, and offers visitors a great view of the black basalt that forms the rim of the plateau the park is on. Tawa is the Sun Spirit in Hopi ideology, who is the creator of the world.
