Description

West Fork is one of the most popular trails in Coconino National Forest, as there are migrating songbirds that decorate the trees in the spring. The canyon is ablaze with color in the fall, with red and gold leaves floating in clear reflecting pools under a canopy of solid color. As for the trail itself, it is a 10.5-km heavily trafficked out and back moderate trail located near Munds Park and features a river.

You can park up about 300m north for free.

Took us 4 hours with short stops. Kind of disappointing 'end' of the trail (you can continue further up the river), but the way there was beautiful with many river crossings. Beautiful colors in fall!
