Description
Seated at the very edge of the canyon rim at Yavapai Point, Yavapai Geology Museum has one of the best vantage points for a breathtaking view of Grand Canyon geology. There are annotated displays at the base of the panoramic windows that show visitors where to look to see each group of rocks.
The museum also features a bookstore and a museum shop, as well as exhibits and displays including beautifully crafted artwork, 3-D models, photographs, and interpretive panels which allow visitors to see and understand the complicated geologic story of the area.
