Description
Butterfield RV Resort and Observatory is in close proximity to many wonderful family attractions in Benson, such as old west gun fights, stage coach rides, mine tours, and so much more. There's no need to worry about security, as the resort is walled in on four sides and provides keypad entry to bathrooms and common areas.
The resort features a swimming pool area with ramadas adjacent to the clubhouse, a beautiful putting green for golf enthusiasts, and two golf driving cages where guests can practice their swings.
It also houses unique amenities, such as the Observatory featuring a Meade LX-200 GPS 16 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. The university-quality installation is housed in a 15' diameter electrically-operated dome - making Butterfield RV Resort the only resort in the nation to have its own university-quality observatory.
The resort has its own 'Antenna Farm' and Radio Room, where all amateur licensed guest are welcome. Guests can use one of the four operating positions and take advantage of the tri-band beam and dipoles, and the Wood and Hobby Shop complete with a band saw, compound miter saw, table saw, drill press and various hand tools.
