Description
Halfway between Tucson and Phoenix, Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey is roomy campground with pull-thru RV spots, individual tent sites, and cabin options. The pet-friendly RV area offers full hookups to 20, 30 or 50amp receptacles, water and sewer, as well as charcoal grills, brick fire pits, and picnic tables.
As this KOA no longer accepts group camping, individual tent sites are still made comfortable as the shaded sites are close to the shower and restroom facilities, and offers picnic tables, fire pits, water and 20amp receptacle hookups.
Those looking for a home-y accommodation can try the Camping Cabin, which features fresh linens, air conditioning, and a patio. Although it has no bathroom or kitchen, the cabin is located near showers and restrooms for convenience.
Guests can swim the large pool that is open year-round, and purchase firewood and propane available at the campground office.

Apart from some road- and train noise is this a very nice park.
