In the 17th century, Picacho Peak was often used as a landmark by early explorers, and the significant Civil War battle took place at the peak. Run with the motto 'Hospitality as Warm as the Arizona Sun!', visitors can get a taste of history at Picacho Peak RV Resort. For those looking to relax and enjoy a leisurely day, the resort offers a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a library room, a clubhouse, and much more. Guests can be as active as they want at the resort's exercise room or play pickle ball, billiards, horseshoes, shuffleboard, and darts. There are hiking trails right outside the resort, featuring plenty of views, from flora, fauna, and wildlife to sun and sky shows daily. Visitors can also enjoy viewing exciting mock battles that took place in Arizona and New Mexico during the Civil War, or learn more about the area's history through the March reenactment, with recreated military camps and living history demonstrations on display.
