Available for wilderness permit holders, Backpackers Campgrounds allows them to spend one night before and one night after a wilderness trip. Backpackers may not camp in these campgrounds when they are closed, and those with Half Dome day hiker permits may not stay here.
Parking is not available at the campgrounds, and visitors are recommended to park at designated overnight parking areas and walk to the campgrounds.
