Nice parking lot, not busy in October. There is even a public toilet nearby.

Cops stopped by around midnight, flashed their brights into the car and said they were just doing a safety check (bs) and since i was just sleeping it was no issue to stay overnight..

This is a parking lot with no shade on the dam wall. Good for a overnight to get to Yosemite, but no good for much else.
