Description
Sitting at an elevation of 7,100 feet, Bayview Campground can be found near Emerald Bay and home base of the Bayview Trailhead for Desolation Wilderness. It offers 13 first-come, first-serve campsites with metal fire rings equipped.

Nice sites. Bear lockers, fire pits, bbqs and picnic tables. Pit toilets, water points with signs that say 'no water'. At the back of the campground there is the start of Desolation and Cascade Falls hiking trails. Across the road is Inspiration Vantage Point.

18$ a night. Ranger will come to pick fees up. Strange neighboor, but these things happen. Next to the start of nice Rubicon trail. Really close from wonderful emerald bay. T° really cold in mid-sept. Get warm clothes
