Description
Looking for a night in the desert? This campsite is perfect for you. Just make sure to bring your own tent. Campfires are allowed so you better not forget those marshmallows at home.
There is toilet and potable water available, as well as grill and picnic table for your meal time with family or friends.
The site is divided into two, one area for bigger groups, and another for campers and their horses. Yep, horses. Horseback riding is allowed but you have to bring your own. If your group brings 7 or more horses, you'll need a Special Use Permit. Reminder! Horse camps must be at least 200 feet away from water resources, no ranging or grazing allowed. In this part of the campground, there are corrals for your horses, but no grill and picnic shelter.
Well, if you don't have a horse, you can bring your dog with you. Not to ride, of course. But just to have a cute company with you.
You can also hike in Mojave or explore the park in your bike. Best biking tour conditions are from November to February. You might want to stay on paved roads because rocky terrain may damage your tires.
If you are not into those kinds of adventures, you may opt to just watch the wildlife that is rich in Molave. Just be careful of snakes, though.
Springtime is a good time to visit if you are into wildflowers.
