Description

Located along Convict Creek and within a short distance from Convict Lake, campers here can enjoy fishing for trout. Trails to Convict Lake and John Muir Wilderness can be hiked too. It is near Convict Lake Resort which offer lodging, restaurant, store, marina with boat rentals, and guided horseback rides. The campground has 85 campsites with views of the bordering peaks. Aspen and cottonwood accentuate the area. Some sites can be reserved while others remain for walk-ins. 10 of the campsites are for tents only. RVs and trailers up to 40 feet can be accommodated, although hookups are not available. Flush toilets, tap water, tables, fire pits, and bear boxes are provided. Dump station and showers can be accessed nearby. Many sites are wheelchair accessible, as well as the facilities here. Camping fee is $29 a night where 6 guests can stay in a single campsite.
