Description
This campground has a rich wildlife, and an important stop for migratory birds. The area used to be a major occupation site of Native American Indian groups. You can see petroglyphs around with the oldest dating back as early as 10,000 years ago.
A $6 per night camping fee is collected here with pit toilets. Mobile signal is not that strong in this campground, and water is not available.
As this is located deep in the mountains, it might take an 8-mile drive through a dirt road to get here.

Small campground 8 miles off of the 10. Road was freshly graded when we came. Really nice pit toilets. Small stand of California fan palms. There is dispersed camping along the road getting there, but the campground is worth it if it isnt too busy.

Camped here the beginning of April, 2018. Nice campground. Lots of petroglyphs on both sides of the road. We camped for two nights. There is a water spicket with good water. Bees congregate at the spicket. They are not aggressive but will come and harrass us when the water evaporated. So the bees trained us to get them water. Very few campers.
