Description

The land where El Chorro Regional campground sits used to be a place for dairy production and cattle grazing, then a training camp for US Army during WWII. Today, it has a total of 61 campsites, 43 with full hookups and 18 primitive sites with water nearby. 6-8 people can comfortably stay in a single site. RVs up to 40 feet can be accommodated. Few pull-through sites are also available. Restrooms and coin-operated showers can be accessed in this campground. The park itself has picnic area with BBQ facilities, volleyball courts, off-leash dog park, horseshoe pits, and softball fields. The San Louis Obispo Botanical Garden is also here. Several trails can be hiked, too. Camping fee starts from $25 to $50 depending on the site and day of visit.
