Description
Francis Beach or sometimes called Kelly Beach, is on the south end of the park and houses the California State Park Ranger Station for the area. The beach is also home to the Half Moon Bay State Beach Visitor Center, which is open on weekends and offers tourists some information about the park's ecology and history.
Pets on leash are allowed in the picnic areas, trails, and campground, and not on the beach. Go picnicking with the numerous picnic tables and grilling stations available, or enjoy sunbathing, fishing, and long walks in the sand.
The beach also has a campground with 52 campsites, suitable for both tent and RV camping. There are some sites that have electrical hookups, but water and sewer hookups are unavailable.

Bike+Hike Great grass to put your tent, picknik tables, bear lockers with lots of bugs inside. Shower pretty good. Toilets a bit run down (no soap, no hand towels, no mirror, bit dirty...) Was okay for one night.

Place ist actually not where the green tent sign is. It is just down by the beach. Go on straight and take the last road to the right. We had to pay 50$ for a unhooked sight because we are sleeping in our car. The 35$ sites were all taken they said. But 50$ its just too expensive even if the spot right by the beach is pretty nice. Shower costs extr

Stayed there August 2, 2022. Nice place, toilets need some overhaul. But acceptable. Direct on beach. Very annoying horn from light house nearby.
