Description

A secluded campsite in the middle of nowhere that is surrounded by Granite Mountains. You'll fall in love with the spectacular view of the bright night sky. If you're lucky, you might spot a meteor shower, too. There are fire rings available, and a lot of day activities to try. You can hike Kelso Dunes or Amboy Crater, or just climb the boulders of different sizes for that perfect photo. However, it is not recommended for big rigs because of the narrow dirt road leading to the sites. Better to go with your AWD vehicle. Make sure to load up with water before going here because there is no water available. There is, however, a pretty decent cell signal.

We camped there on 27th Feb 2023. Fantastic spot. Just us. Quiet. Place for campfire. Its a free spot so no toilets. Easy accessible from main road no need for 4x4.

No problem in a 2WD Ford Fiesta. A lot of space to chose from very quiet at night.
