Description

Primitive camping is what you'll get in this campground so make sure to have more than enough of things you need. You have to park on the road without damaging vegetation. Fires must be lit in container rings only. Hawk Canyon trail can be accessed in the Anza-Borrego Desert. It will take around 1.5 hours for a roundtrip hike in this 1.7-mile trail. It features a stunning view of sandstone cliffs. Hawks usually nest in the canyon walls, hence its name. During spring, flowers bloom in this little canyon. No matter what the season is, a variety of wildlife depends on this area for shelter and sustenance.

Beautiful camp spot in scenic canyon. Turn off dirt road (signed) just before slot canyon parking. 2wd access and lots of space. One walk in fire ring on top loop. Quiet and secluded - wild camping as it should be!
