Description

Haypress Campground is sat within the coastal scrub of Tennessee Valley, and the hike towards it is 0.7 miles from the Tennessee Valley Trail head parking lot - ideal for first-time backpackers. Typical Haypress campers enjoy hiking to Tennessee Cove, where they can admire the dramatic geology and colorful sand of the beach. The campground offers five tent only camping sites, and one group camping site.

Hike in camping only. You must have a permit from the Marin visitors centre. You cannot park overnight at the trail head parking area. We visited 20th May 2019 and both campgrounds were closed until later in the year.

Stayed here from Saturday to Sunday without permit (was too late, also website still says 'closed until spring')Very neat place, there was noone except me. Short and easy walk from the parking
