If you can't get anything in the valley this is an okay option. It's 45 minutes to get to the valley. Sites are quite close together and most are a fair way from the toilets. The toilets are okay but I've used much better in NP's. There are no washing up facilities so come prepared if you are in a tent.

This campground is always full so Id reserve... and its very noisy. All the tent sites are on slopes so youll never be flat in the tent. There very close together so being woken up in the morning by talking or generators is the norm here. No hookups, no showers, flushing toilets. $26 a night and $35 entrance fee to the park. U can burn any debri

As noted, not a bad option if you can get in the valley. Booked out about 6 months in advance, so keep refreshing reservations.gov and something might pop up. There are no showers here, so keep in mind. My suggestion, go early, very early, to the park and beat the traffic and take your shower gear. Suggest getting a park at Curry Village before 7am, grab a coffee and explore the park and then afterwards, grab a shower at the Curry campground (there will be a fee I think). There is a free shuttle around the park. The traffic in the valley in summer, especially on the weekends is crazy, we were trapped for an hour as we went to Tunnel View. Get in early, leave early afternoon is the best bet. They will close the car parks down once they are full and the roads are blocked up.
