Description
Located in Ocotillo Wells, this campground is a good base camp if you are into OHV driving. There are 85, 000 acres of open desert you can explore with your off-road vehicles.
Vault toilets, shade ramadas, picnic tables, and fire rings are available on site. However, there is no water available. Necessities like groceries, telephone, restaurants, repair shops and RV parks are located in nearby communities.

ORV Camp, not visible from road, picnic tables with shelters, flush toilets, coin operated hot showers, 50 cents for two minutes. Busy with ORVs on weekends quiet during the week.

No fees are collected for camping or day use. Open camping is permitted throughout the unit for up to 30 days per calendar year. Camping is not permitted at Shell Reef, Devils Slide, Blowsand Hill, The Notches, or 4X4 Training areas. There is limited camping East of Poleline Road. Vault toilets, shade ramadas, picnic tables, and fire rings are located in the Quarry, Main Street, and Holmes Camp areas. Water is not available.
